Waffles with ham and apples

2 | larges | Eggs |
1 | large | Egg white |

½ | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | each | (10oz) package frozen sugar. Allow an extra half hour preparation time |

2 | mediums | Sized sweet apples, 1 cored, peeled, and chopped, |
The other cored and sliced | ||
4 | ounces | Baked or boiled ham, diced |
½ | cup | Shredded low fat Cheddar cheese (2oz) |
Directions
PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 25 MINUTES
Whisk the milk, eggs, egg white, syrup, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl until blender. Arrange 4 of the waffles side by side in a lightly greased 9x9x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with the chopped apple and ham, then top with the remaining 4 waffles. Pour the milk mixture over all. Cover with foil, and let stand for 30 minutes at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 375F. Bake on top rack in oven, covered, for 15 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle the cheese on top, and bake 10 minutes more or until the cheese is melted.
