Virginia butter beans

Ingredients

2Boxes frozen lima or butter beans
6slicesBacon
½cupMinced onion
¼cupMinced bell pepper
2Garlic cloves; minced or garlic
Salt
2tablespoonsSugar
2tablespoonsFlour
1cupCanned tomatoes; (juice and all)
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Fry bacon. Remove and cook vegetables until tender. Add flour, sugar, salt, pepper and tomatoes. Add cooked and drained beans and pour in casserole.

Place bacon on top and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. You can also use a package of dried butter beans.
