Measure | Ingredient |

½ cup | Butter or margarine |
½ cup | Sugar |
⅔ cup | Chopped dates |
2 cups | Rice Krispies® (rice bubbles) |
Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to the boil over low heat.
Stir for 3 minutes only while still boiling. Take off heat. Pour heated mixture over Rice Krispies in a large bowl. Stir well.
Press firmly into a greased 12 X 12" dish or cake tin. Place in refrigerator to set. Before completely cold mark into squares to cut.
NOTES : Can be iced with either coconut or chocolate.
