Surprise date muffins

Yield: 10 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1½ cup Graham cracker crumbs
2 teaspoons Baking powder
2 teaspoons Sugar
pinch Salt
1 Egg; well-beaten
2 tablespoons Margarine; melted
½ cup Dates; chopped
½ cup Nuts; chopped
½ cup Milk; warm

Combine first 4 ingredients; stir in egg and margarine, mixing well.

Stir in dates and nuts. Add milk and stir just until moistened.

Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling ⅔ full. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until done.
