Strawberry hand-pie

1¼ cup Sugar
1 \N Egg
3 ounces Cream cheese
2 teaspoons Buttermilk
3 cups All-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Strawberry preserves
2 cups Diced fresh strawberries
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
2 teaspoons Lemon zest

Directions: To make the dough, cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Add the egg and cream cheese, blending well. Add the buttermilk and mix to combine. Slowly mix in the flour to form a dough. Add the baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Blend well and then knead the dough with hands, forming a ball. Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour. To make the pies, roll out the dough and cut six 6" circles. Prepare the filling by combining the strawberry preserves, fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Spoon 3 tablespoons of filling onto one side of each dough circle. Fold the clean side over and press the edges together with a fork.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, until golden.
