Split pea soup mix with recipe

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Green slplit peas
¼ cup Red lentils
¼ cup Yellow split peas
2 teaspoons Salt
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1 medium Onion, chopped
3 \N Peeled carrots, chopped
3 \N Stalks celery, chopped
½ teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Dried thyme
1 \N Bay leaf
1 pounds Polish sausage, in 1/2\" coins
1 pack Split pea soup mix
2½ quart Water



Soup mix: Combine, stir, store in an airtight container.

Soup: saute onion, carrot, celery and sausage in oil until tender.

Add soup mix and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2-3 hours. 8 servings
