Spicy ginger biscuits

½cupBrown sugar
2tablespoonsVery finely chopped fresh ginger
1teaspoonGinger powder - optional
1teaspoonFreshly grated nutmeg
60gramsButter
½cupGolden syrup
1teaspoonBicarbonate of soda

Directions

Put flour, ginger, nutmeg and sugar in a bowl and mix well. Melt the butter and syrup in a saucepan and add the bicarbonate of soda and allow to fizz before adding to the flour mix. Put spoonfuls of mix on lined baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes at 160deg C. leave on tray a minutes before transferring onto wire rack to cool.
