Spanish style round steak

Ingredients

½cupChopped onion
1cloveGarlic, minced
12ouncesCan of vegetable juice
Cocktail
10½ounceCan of condensed beef broth
1⅓cupWater
1⅓cupLong grain rice
10ouncesPackage of frozen peas
¼cupChopped pimiento

Directions

Cut round steak in ¼ inch strips; sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a 10 inch skillet, brown the steak strips in hot oil. Add onion and garlic; cook until onion in tender, but not brown. Add vegetable juice, beef broth, and water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and cook for 30 minutes. Add rice, peas, and pimiento. Return to boiling.
