2poundsSliced beef or calves liver
4slicesBacon -- cut in half
½cupCarrot -- chopped
½cupCelery -- chopped
1Small onion -- sliced
1poundsStewed tomatoes
1teaspoonSalt
teaspoonPepper
1Bay leaf

Directions

Place liver in slow-cooking pot. Arrange bacon on top. Mix reamaining ingredients and pour over liver. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

Remove bay leaf.
