Snoot burgers

½poundsFresh mushrooms; sliced thin
¼cupWhite wine
2poundsGround beef
¼teaspoonWhite pepper
4ouncesSmokey Gouda cheese
6slicesBread; toasted

Directions

From: Bulldogfla <Bulldogfla@...> Peel and slice the onions. Heat 3 tbsp. of the butter in a medium skillet.

Add the onions and mushrooms. Cook until onions are limp and mushrooms are done. Add the wine and simmer until liquid has been absorbed. Remove from heat. Form the ground beef into six patties. Grill, seasoning lightly with the white pepper, for 4 minutes. Turn and top with cheese. Grill until cheese has melted. Remove each burger to top of a toast slice. Smother with mushroom and onion combination and serve.
