Smooth applesauce

Yield: 2 Servings

Measure Ingredient
13 ounces Jonathan or McIntosh apples
¼ cup Water
⅛ teaspoon Combined cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg

Wash the apples and cut into quarters but do not peel. Remove the cores and cut the quarters into chunks. Place in a saucepan with ¼ cup water and cook as for Chunky Applesauce. When the apples are tender, force through a sieve or the fine disc of a food mill. Season with the spices and eat hot, warm, or at room temperature.
