Slow cooker chicken

Ingredients

| 1 | Whole chicken, skinned (unless you want all that fat), about seven pounds (or bigger or smaller depending on the size of your slow cooker, adjust other ingredients accordingly) | |
| 1 | cup | Water |
| 1 | medium | Onion, chopped |
| 1 | tablespoon | Salt |
| 1 | tablespoon | Pepper |
| 7 | ounces | Chopped canned mushrooms (fresh would be better) |
| 1 | teaspoon | Soy sauce |
| ¼ | cup | Red cooking wine |
| 1 | tablespoon | Garlic powder |
Directions
Put the whole works into a slow cooker, making sure to put some of the mushrooms and onions into the cavity of the bird. Cook for about 5 hours on medium heat.
