Yield: 2 Servings
Measure | Ingredient |
---|---|
2 \N | Fresh garden tomatoes, slice |
2 tablespoons | Drippings or chicken fat |
2 tablespoons | Flour |
1 cup | Sweet milk |
\N \N | Chicken bouillon granules (optional) |
GRAVY
Arrange the tomatoes on 2 plates. To make the gravy, melt the fat in a heavy saucepan and add flour, stirring briefly over medium heat. Add sweet milk and stir until it comes to a full boil, adding the bouillon granules fro extra flavor. Serve the gravy over the sliced tomatoes.
Note: Before someone asks the question, "what is sweet milk", I will give you her comment. "Sweet" milks is the country term for non-buttermilk.
