Sausage and pepper pasta

1poundsSweet Italian sausage; sliced into 1/2

poundsRed bell peppers; chunked
3mediumsOnions; sliced
3Garlic cloves; finely chopped
1tablespoonOlive oil
½teaspoonOregano
¼cupWater

Directions

Add fresh fettuccine to large pot of boiling water with oil. Cook al dente.

Drain. Rinse. Heat olive oil in heavy skillet over medium - high heat. Add sausage. Brown. Add water. Cook a few minutes. Remove sausage and drain on paper towels. Pour off water from skillet. Place back on heat. Return sausage, onions, peppers and oregano to skillet. Stir and cook until well mixed & heated throughout. Serve over fettuccine.
