|1½ pounds||Italian sausage links|
|3||Sweet green pepper; sliced|
|2||Sweet red peppers; sliced|
|1 large||Onion; quartered, sliced|
|1 teaspoon||Dried oregano|
|1||Loaf Italian bread|
Cook sausages with ½ cup of water in lg. nonstick skillet over med-low heat 30 mins., turning occasionally. When water evaporates, prick sausages with fork and continue cooking until sausages are browned all over. When properly cooked, instant read thermometer inserted in sausages should register 160~.
Remove sausages from skillet; slice in half lengthwise. Add green and red peppers, onion, and oregano to skillet; saute over med. heat for 20 to 25 mins. or until peppers and onions are softened.
Slice bread lengthwise; fill with the sausages and sweet peppers.
Slice bread crosswise into 8 portions.
