Sausage & macaroni casserole

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Sausage meat
1 \N Onion; chopped
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 \N Garlic clove; chopped
3 cups Macaroni; cooked
1 cup Mushrooms; drained
1 cup Cottage cheese
¼ teaspoon Oregano
¼ cup Spaghetti sauce
¼ teaspoon Basil
¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
¼ teaspoon Dry mustard
\N \N Breadcrumbs (opt)
\N \N Grated cheese

Preheat oven to 350F. Saute sausage meat till light brown. Drain fat, separate meat with fork, set aside. Saute onion, garlic & mushrooms. Add sausage meat, spices. Stir in sauce. Add macaroni & stir. Arrange alternate layers of macaroni-meat mixture and cottage cheese; ending with meat. Top with bread crumbs & cheese if desired.

Bake at 350F for 25-30 min. SERVES:4
