Rick's hot rice

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 can (28 oz.) whole plum tomatoes with juice
1 cup Uncooked rice
1 cup Water
3 \N Fresh jalapenos; seeded and minced
1 small Onion; diced
2 tablespoons DurkeeĀ® red hot sauce
1 tablespoon Butter
½ teaspoon Salt
1 \N Clove garlic; crushed

Combine all ingredients in a kettle, breaking up tomatoes with a spoon.

Simmer uncovered for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
