Rick's hot rice

Ingredients

1can(28 oz.) whole plum tomatoes with juice
1cupUncooked rice
1cupWater
3Fresh jalapenos; seeded and minced
1smallOnion; diced
2tablespoonsDurkeeĀ® red hot sauce
1tablespoonButter
½teaspoonSalt
1Clove garlic; crushed

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a kettle, breaking up tomatoes with a spoon.

Simmer uncovered for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
