Measure | Ingredient |

2 cups | Water |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
1 tablespoon | Margarine |
1 cup | Warm water |
1 cup | Nonfat dry milk (not instant) -or- |
2 cups | Instant nonfat dry milk |
½ cup | Uncooked rice |
½ cup | Raisins (optional) |
½ cup | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
Heat 2 cups water to boiling. Stir in rice, salt, raisins and margarine.
Lower heat, cover and cook 45 minutes. Remove from heat. Mix dry milk aod sugar. Mix in 1 cup warm water until smooth. Add milk mixture and vanilla to rice. Stir over low heat until hot. Cool to thicken. Serves 6.
