Quick orange-date bread

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
⅔ cup Orange juice
3 tablespoons Orange rind
3 tablespoons Melted butter
½ cup Finely chopped dates
1 cup Sugar
1 \N Egg; slightly beaten
½ cup Chopped nuts
2 cups Flour
½ teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt

Combine juice, rind, butter, dates, sugar, egg and nuts. Sift dry ingredients and add to orange mixture. Mix well and pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Makes a great Christmas gift! MRS WAYNE BOLDEN (DEBBIE)
