\N \N | Chili powder to taste |
This is a great recipe to put together when you're in a pinch. You can make it for any number of people (even the carnivores!) and the ingredients are very easy to find. I've been making it since I became a vegetarian 4 years ago (I'm 18 now), so its simple enough for younger people to make, too.
Rinse the beans thoroughly to cut down on the sodium content. Combine all ingredients into a large pot, and since they're all pre-cooked, all you need to do is warm them up.
I usually serve this over a couple of hearty slices of wheat bread, but brown rice would also be tasty. If you're eating this on a cold day, a nice cup of green tea also warms you up! vegan
