Quick chicken a la king

Ingredients

¼cupAll-purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1cupSkim milk; up to 1 1/2 cups
½cupChicken broth can mushroom stems and pieces
1Garlic clove; minced
2cupsCooked chicken; cut into chunks
¼cupChopped red bell pepper
2tablespoonsDry sherry
4Pre-baked pastry shells
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper to taste. Add milk and chicken broth. Stir and cook until thickened and bubbly. Add mushrooms and garlic. Stir in chicken, red pepper and dry sherry. Heat through. Spoon into pre-cooked shells. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
