Mom's chicken ala king

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Butter
1 cup Flour
1 Qt. milk
1¼ cup Chicken stock
2 Stewing chickens,cooked
2 smalls Jars pimento
2 Eggs
Salt to taste
1 cup Light cream

Melt butter. Add flour and milk to make creamy broth. Thin down with chicken stock until like a thick cream. Add pimento to cream gravy; stir in chicken lightly. Beat eggs thoroughly; stir into mixture.

Just before serving, add 1 cup light cream. Serve in Pepperidge Farm patty shells or noodle nests or Holland rusks or English muffins.
