|1½ pounds||Pork shoulder or butt|
|2 xes||Onions, chopped|
|2 tablespoons||Shortening or fat|
|1 x||Salt & pepper to taste.|
Cut meat as for stew. Melt shortening and when hot add meat. Brown slightly, add onions and stew until all moisture has been absorbed and meat is nicely browned. Add washed rice and water to meat, stir cover and cook slowly until rice is tender. Sorry literal translation.
