Ingredients

| Pepper; to taste | ||
| 1 | tablespoon | Oil, vegetable |
| ½ | pounds | Mushrooms, fresh; sliced |
| 1 | medium | Onion; chopped |
| 1 | small | Garlic clove; crushed |
| 2 | mediums | Green peppers; cut into thin strips |
| 16 | ounces | Tomato sauce |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Oregano, whole; or basil |
| 1 | tablespoon | Lemon juice |
| ¼ | cup | Sherry, dry |
Directions
Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper; brown on both sides in hot oil. Place chops in a shallow 2-quart baking dish; cover with mushrooms, and set aside.
Add onion, garlic, and green pepper to skillet; cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients, and simmer 5 minutes; pour over chops. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until chops are done.
