18 ounces | Sweet potatoes; drained |
½ cup | Peanut butter; smooth or crunchy |
½ cup | Orange juice |
¼ cup | Sugar, brown; firmly packed |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
¼ teaspoon | Pepper |

Put sweet potatoes into bowl and mash; stir in peanut butter, orange juice, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Spoon mixture into a buttered 9-inch piepan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and place marshmallows on top. Return to oven for about 5 minutes or until marshmallows are brown and melting.
