Peanut brittle #2

Yield: 24 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Sugar
1 cup White corn syrup
½ cup Water
1 pounds Raw peanuts
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Butter
2 teaspoons Baking soda

Grease a large cookie sheet with butter or margarine. In a 4-quart saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup & water. Cook mixture to hard ball stage (about 7 minutes on medium heat). Add raw peanuts. Cook until golden brown. Add vanilla, butter & baking soda. Mix well. Pour into greased cookie sheet, smooth evenly & let cool. Break into pieces.
