Peach bliss

Yield: 2 servings

Measure Ingredient
8 ounces Peach slices
1½ teaspoon Cornstarch
¾ teaspoon Lemon juice; freshly squeezd
\N dash Cinnamon, ground
¼ teaspoon Almond extract
\N \N Cake, white or yellow; slicd

Drain peaches, reserving ½ cup syrup. Combine reserved syrup, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; allow to boil 1 minute. Add almond extract and peach slices; heat thoroughly. Serve warm over cake slices.
