Yield: 2 servings
|8 ounces||Peach slices|
|¾ teaspoon||Lemon juice; freshly squeezd|
|¼ teaspoon||Almond extract|
|Cake, white or yellow; slicd|
Drain peaches, reserving ½ cup syrup. Combine reserved syrup, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; allow to boil 1 minute. Add almond extract and peach slices; heat thoroughly. Serve warm over cake slices.
