Oregon gooseberry chutney

1can(16.5 ounces) OregoN Gooseberries
½cupBrown sugar
1tablespoonPlus 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
teaspoonSalt
Ground allspice
Cinnamon
Ground cloves

Directions

SPICES

Combine gooseberries, sugar, vinegar and salt in saucepan.

Simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

During last 10 minutes: ¼ of ¼ (don't overdo) of each of the spices to follow:

May be packed in sterile jars for storage or kept in the refrigerator.
