Yield: 12 Servings
|2 pounds||Lean ground sirloin|
|½ cup||Chopped onion|
|½ cup||Chopped green pepper|
|½ cup||Chopped celery|
|1 cup||Island Fresh milk|
|2 cans||(8 oz size) tomato sauce|
|1 tablespoon||Sugar; OR... artificial sweetener|
|5 tablespoons||Chili powder (or more)|
In a skillet, brown meat; drain. Stir in onion, green pepper, celery, milk, tomato sauce, and seasonings. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Makes 12 servings.
Serving suggestions: Pour over cooked rice, serve in a hamburger bun; or mix with 1 lb cooked pasta, top with 2 cups shredded cheese and bake in 350 F oven for 30 minutes.
