My favorite cheese ball

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
8 | ounces | Cream cheese; at room temperature |
8 | ounces | Extra sharp cheddar; grated |
8 | ounces | Colby cheese; grated |
1 | can | (12-oz) crushed pineapple; drained |
6 | Green onions; to taste (up to 12) | |
Ground walnuts |
Directions
Mix all ingredients except walnuts. Using hands, make into balls or logs.
Roll in ground walnuts. Chill overnight, if possible.
Options: add other ingredients that come to mind, such as hot peppers, lemon or lime zest, capers, herbs, etc.
