| 1 | pint | Brown sugar |
| 1 | pint | Lard |
| 1 | pint | Milk; sour |
| 8 | teaspoons | Baking soda; level - dissol ved in milk |
| 2 | tablespoons | Ginger; level |
| Flour; to make stiff dough | ||
Directions
Let stand over night. Roll thin, glaze top of each cookie with 1 whole egg beaten light. Bake in hot oven. Makes ½ bushel.
Note: Hot oven is 400 - 450 F.
