Holiday ginger snaps

Measure Ingredient
Sticks butter
¼ cup Brown sugar
¼ cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Ginger
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Allspice
1½ teaspoon Salt
1 Egg
¾ cup Molasses
3¼ cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Baking powder

Cream together butter, sugars, spices & salt. Add egg & mix thoroughly. Add molasses & blend. Sift together twice: flour, powder & soda. Add to molasses mixture & stir until blended. Chill well.

Preheat oven to 375. Using floured rolling pin, roll dough to ¼" thick on floured pastry cloth or board. Use a cookie cutter to press out desired shape. Place on greased baking sheets & bake 8-10 minutes.
