20 | Ritz crackers; crushed |
1 cup | Sugar |
¾ cup | Chopped pecans |
3 | Egg whites |
¼ teaspoon | Cream of tartar |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
½ pint | Cream; whipped and sweetened to taste |
Mix pecans, ½ cup sugar and cracker crumbs in bowl. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff; gradually add vanilla and ½ cup sugar. Fold crumb mixture into egg white mixture; pour into greased pie plate and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cool thoroughly; top with whipped cream. Chill well before serving.
