Mother's ritz cracker pie

Ingredients

| 20 | Ritz crackers; crushed | |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| ¾ | cup | Chopped pecans |
| 3 | Egg whites | |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Cream of tartar |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| ½ | pint | Cream; whipped and sweetened to taste |
Directions
Mix pecans, ½ cup sugar and cracker crumbs in bowl. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff; gradually add vanilla and ½ cup sugar. Fold crumb mixture into egg white mixture; pour into greased pie plate and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cool thoroughly; top with whipped cream. Chill well before serving.
