12 slices white bread 4 slices lean ham 4 large slices cooked chicken 16 thin slices swiss cheese butter 3 eggs beaten 1 tsp. sugar 3 tbsp.
milk salt and pepper powdered sugar strawberry jam or cranberry sauce butter four slices of bread and cover each with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of chicken. Butter the next 4 slices on both sides and place them on top. Cover with 2 slices swiss cheese each. Butter the remaining slices and put them on top. Trim cursts and cut each in half. Securing with toothpics, dip in egg beaten with sugar and milk and salt and pepper to taste. Saute in butter on both sides until golden brown. Remove picks and serve dusted lightly with powdered sugar with jam or sauce alongside.
