Yield: 6 Servings
|2||1 oz squares unsweetened chocolate|
|1 cup||Brown sugar|
|½ cup||Sour milk; *|
|½ teaspoon||Baking powder|
|½ teaspoon||Baking soda|
|½ cup||Nuts; chopped|
|1 pack||(6 oz) chocolate chips|
frost with mocha frosting- recipe to below Melt shortening and unsweetened chocolate together in a saucepan. Cool 10 minutes. Stir in brown sugar. Beat in the egg, vanilla and sour milk. Sift together dry ingredients and add to chocolate mixture. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes. Cool. Frost with Mocha frosting (see recipe below).
NOTES : *sour milk can be made by adding one tablespoon of vinegar to one cup of milk.
