Milk chocolate frosting

2 | Squares unsweetened chocolate | |
2 | tablespoons | Soft butter |
1 | cup | Sifted confectioners sugar |
1 | Egg | |
¼ | cup | Milk |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
Directions
Melt chocolate over hot water; let cool. In small bowl, with portable electric mixer, at medium speed, beat butter, egg, sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chocolate. Set bowl of frosting in ice water. Beat until frosting is smooth and barely holds its shape.
Makes enough to frost a 9-inch square cake; or a 13x9x2 inch oblong pan; or a loaf cake.
