Yield: 8 - 10 folks
|3 quarts||Fresh strawberry; divided|
|1||10" deep dish pastry shell;|
|1 cup||Alta Dena heavy cream;|
|1½ cup||Instant vanilla pudding mix;|
In a large bowl, mash enough strawberries to equal 3 cups. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in the mashed strawberries and water; mix well. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Pour into a large bowl. Chill 2-3 hours. In a small mixing bowl whip cream and until soft pecks form. Sprinkle pudding over cream and whip until stiff. Pipe around edge of pie or doing on individual. Serves 8 to 10.
