Mile-high strawberry pie

Ingredients

3 | quarts | Fresh strawberry; divided |
1½ | cup | Sugar; |
6 | tablespoons | Cornstarch; |
⅔ | cup | Water; |
1 | 10\" deep dish pastry shell; | |
1 | cup | Alta Dena heavy cream; |
1½ | cup | Instant vanilla pudding mix; |
Directions
In a large bowl, mash enough strawberries to equal 3 cups. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in the mashed strawberries and water; mix well. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Pour into a large bowl. Chill 2-3 hours. In a small mixing bowl whip cream and until soft pecks form. Sprinkle pudding over cream and whip until stiff. Pipe around edge of pie or doing on individual. Serves 8 to 10.
