Melon salad with balsamic vinegar

L/3 cup balsamic vinegar
4teaspoonsSugar; or more to taste
1L/3 pint raspberries
2smallsRipe melons; (about 1 pound)

Directions

Mix vinegar and sugar in a bowl. Pick over raspberries and add them to the bowl, stirring to mix with the vinegar. Trim the ends of the melon, cut them in half and scoop out the seeds. Fill the halves with raspberries and juice, cover loosely with plastic wrap and chill at least 20 minutes.

Yield: 4 servings
