Mary's raisin-oatmeal cookies

cupAll-purpose flour
1teaspoonBaking soda
½teaspoonSalt
¾teaspoonGround cinnamon
¾teaspoonGround nutmeg
3cupsOats, uncooked; quick cooking
1cupRaisins

Directions

Cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg, and beat well. Blend in water and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg together. Add to the creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
