Marinated mushrooms #5

Ingredients

| ¾ | cup | Vegetable oil |
| ½ | cup | Heinz red wine vinegar |
| 1½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | teaspoon | Sugar |
| ½ | teaspoon | Basil leaves, dried |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Thyme, ground |
| 1 | Garlic clove, halved | |
| 6 | Peppercorns | |
| 1 | Bay leaf | |
| 1½ | pounds | Small mushrooms, fresh |
Directions
Combine all ingredients (except mushrooms) in a large saucepan. Heat to boiling. Cover; simmer 10 minutes. Add mushrooms; simmer uncovered for 3 minutes. Transfer mushrooms and liquid into a bowl.
Cover; chill several hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.
Drain and serve as an appetizer on a relish tray. Makes about 3½ cups.
