Macadamia cheesecake cookies

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Flour
⅓ cup Butter or margarine; softened
⅓ cup Brown sugar
½ cup Macadamia nut bits
1 Egg
1 pack (8-oz) cream cheese; softened
¼ cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
½ teaspoon Vanilla

Preheat electric oven to 350F. In small bowl of electric mixer, combine flour, butter, and brown sugar. Mix until fine particles are formed. Stir in nuts. Reserve 1 c of mixture for topping. Press remainder into ungreased 8-in square pan. Bake for 12-15 min or until lightly browned. In small bowl of electric mixer, combine remaining ingredients. Beat well; spread over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake for 25-30 min. Cool; cut into squares. Makes

16 squares.
