Lollipop franks (corn dogs)

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Flour
2 tablespoons Sugar
1½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
⅔ cup Cornmeal
2 tablespoons Shortening
1 each Eggs
¾ cup Milk
1 pounds Franks
8 eaches Wooden skewers
1 x Oil for deep frying

Sift first four ingredients together, stir in cornmeal, cut in shortening. Combine egg and milk and add to cornmeal mix. Stir all until well mixed. Insert wooden skewer into end of frank.
