Lollipop franks

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Flour
2 tablespoons Sugar
1½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
⅔ cup Cornmeal
2 tablespoons Shortening
\N \N Egg; slightly beaten
¾ cup Milk
1 pounds Franks; (8-10)

Sift first four ingredients together, stir in cornmeal, cut in short- ening, combine egg and milk, and add to cornmeal mix. Sir all until well mixed.

Insert wooden skewers into end of frank. Spread frank evenly with batter. Deep fry until browned (4-5 minutes). ENJOY
