| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 1 | teaspoon | Baking powder |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| 2 | cups | Dates; chopped |
| ½ | cup | Candied cherries; cut-up |
| ⅔ | cup | Flour |
| Powdered Sugar | ||
Directions
Blend shortening and sugar and beat in eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread mixture in a 9" pan and bake at 350ø for 40-45 minutes. Cut into squares while warm and roll in confectionary sugar.
