Lithuanian sauerkraut supper

Measure Ingredient
3 \N Strips bacon, cut into small
\N \N Pieces
1 small Onion, diced
½ \N Head cabbage, chopped fine
2 smalls Apples, diced
3 tablespoons Brown sugar
1½ teaspoon Caraway seed
1 large Can sauerkraut
½ cup Water
2 pounds Any smoked sausage, cut up
\N \N Into 2-inch pieces

Fry bacon until crisp; add onion. Fry onion until golden brown. Chop fresh cabbage; add ½ cup water and simmer until cabbage is soft.

Add diced apples, caraway seed and brown sugar. Now add the sauerkraut. Mix well; add the smoked sausage and cook all the ingredients for 1 hour or bake in the oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
