Lettuce dish (gemusesalat)

Ingredients

| 4 | slices | Bacon |
| 1 | Onion -or- | |
| 4 | Scallions, sliced | |
| ¼ | cup | Cidar vinegar |
| 1 | tablespoon | Sugar |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Black pepper |
| 1½ | quart | Shredded lettuce |
| 2 | Hard cooked eggs, sliced | |
Directions
Saute bacon until crisp. Remove. Crumble. Reserve. Brown onion in bacon drippings. Add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Pour over lettuce. toss. Garnish with crumbled bacon and sliced eggs.
