| 2 | Cloves garlic; pressed | |
| 1 | cup | Salad oil |
| 1½ | cup | Wine vinegar |
| Salt & pepper to taste | ||
| 6 | Bunches leaf lettuce; washed & torn into bite size pieces | |
| 1 | Purple onion; sliced | |
| 3 | Tomatoes; cut into quarters | |
Directions
Put first 4 ingredients into large wooden salad bowl and beat with a wire whisk. Combine dressing with lettuce and onions. Serve on chilled plates, garnished with tomato quarters. LE MONT
