½ cup | Brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | Grated fresh ginger |

½ teaspoon | Ground cloves |
2 tablespoons | Fresh lime juice |
2 tablespoons | Rum (optional) |
2 \N | Lamb center leg steaks |
\N \N | (about 1 1/2 pounds) |
Combine in small flat container all ingredients except steaks to make marinade. Place steaks in marinade and let stand, refrigerated, 2 to 24 hours. Remove from marinade and grill steaks over medium coals 5 to 7 minutes per side or until steaks reach desired doneness. Discard marinade.
