Kohl's gingerbread

Yield: 1 Cake

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Shortening
½ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Ginger
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
⅛ teaspoon Cloves
½ cup Sugar
1 cup Molasses
2½ cup Flour
½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 cup Boiling water
2 \N Eggs

Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Mix together flour, spices, baking powder and baking soda.

Mix together molasses and water. Add alternately liquid mixture and dry mixture to creamed mixture.

Bake in a well-greased 9 x 13 inch pan in a preheated oven at 350 degrees 50-60 minutes.
