Since my recipe for DOG BONES appeared on Sunday, I have had several requests to my mailbox for kitty recipes. I am happy to oblige, since I have a fat tabby leaning over my shoulder as I type this. I am also including a "tandem" recipe. This is one which you make for human consumption, but has a kitty version. My source is "The Cat-Lover's Cookbook" by Tony Lawson--fun feline reading.
Heat oil in saucepan. Add garlic and saute 1 minute. Add cheese, soup, and salt. Stir constantly over low heat until cheese has melted and mixture is creamy. Remove from heat and stir in chicken broth and liver. When mixture has cooled to lukewarm stir in French bread and serve. Yields 3 to 4 kitty servings. Store unused portions in an airtight container and keep refrigerated. This recipe is fit for everyday use. Posted to Kitmailbox by Paula Thompson <paulat@...> on Apr 29, 1997
